Dodding Pond

Dodding Pond may have been a lane somewhere east of the Tower of London and near the Abbey of St. Mary Graces (Harben). It is mentioned by Stow as part of his description of Portsoken Ward; all East Smithfield, with the right part of the streete that goeth to Dodding Pond into the Thames, and also the Hospitall of Saint Katherins Gap in transcription. Reason: Editorial omission for reasons of length or relevance. Use only in quotations in born-digital documents.[…] are of the said Fee and Libertie(Stow).
Historical records are only vaguely refer to Dodding Pond and do not reveal its precise location.
