St. Magnus

The church of St. Magnus the Martyr, believed to be founded some time in the 11th century, was on the south side of Thames Street just north of London Bridge. According to Stow, in its churchyard haue béene buried many men of good worſhip, whoſe monumentes are now for the moſt part vtterly defaced, including John Michell, mayor of London in the first part of the 15th century (Stow 1598, sig.
