Almshouses (Wood Street)

The Almshouses of Wood Street were located on the east side of the street, south of Bowyers’ Hall. Carlin and Belcher note that the almshouses were built in 1416 by request to the Skinners’ Company of mayor Henry Barton (Carlin and Belcher 64).
