MoEML is comprised of

- 147 encyclopaedia-style essays on sites and streets
- 9 compilations of dramatic references
- 12 diplomatic transcriptions of complete poems or prose texts about London
- 14 articles on topics explaining facets of London life
Many other pages can be dynamically generated from the database. When you click on a link, you send a query to the database. The page that you see on your screen is generated from information in the bibliography, personography, map index, and essays in our database. We update all of these resources regularly and make corrections from time to time. Each time you click, you call up the most recent information in the database. If we make wholesale changes to an essay, we will publish it as a second edition and archive the first edition of the essay.
